While this crazy-ass circus is not good for the country (including Wall Street), it's 100% a Republican problem. They're the only ones who can solve it.

(1,484 posts).......when Newt Getricher has already volunteered to once again become the speaker? After all, it really shouldn't matter that he isn't even a member of congress. I am sure that it has happened many times before that the speaker of the house hasn't even been a member of the congress.
Upon edit: Does anyone know how this impasse delay might affect the looming government shutdown?

(145,079 posts)Joe Strauss is a Jew and is hated by the tea party faction of the Texas GOP. I am Jewish and the hatred of the Tea Party towards Joe Straus scares me. However, Joe Strauss gets enough support from Democrats to be elected speaker
