COUNCIL BLUFFS – Nothing can slow down Kaden Boettger.

The 9-year-old Carter Lake boy is active in soccer, baseball, hockey and bowling.

“He loves sports,” said Greg Rangel, his stepfather. “He made it to state in basketball last year” in Special Olympics.

This week, he is set to once again compete in the Special Olympics – this time, bowling at Thunderbowl. Kaden, who has Down syndrome, has had developmental delays but has done well in other respects, his stepfather said.
