A shooter opened fire on Friday at Northern Arizona University's Flagstaff campus, the school announced on Twitter. The university said that one person was killed and three people were injured in the attack.
A university spokesperson confirmed the news to ABC.
The shooting took place near the Mountain View Hall, a building that houses the university's fraternities and sororities.
The suspect was in custody early Friday, the university said.

(16,069 posts)and accept the death toll because people don't like it when you pick on their guns.
We're just supposed to celebrate that people still have their beloved guns.
I'm thinking I need a break from DU, since the gun fetishists appear to have taken the place over.

(16,069 posts)over the number of people who really, honestly seem to believe that any number of deaths is A-OK because their guns are more important than human lives.
It makes me sick at heart.
And I tend not to give up (as my beloved husband just reminded me)...I'll fight to the end for something I really believe in and I believe that people are more important than any things, including guns.
It's just nice to see a few others around who keep up the fight, because there are SO many fetishists around right now.

(849 posts)I'll wait for the real scoop on it. Happened at around 1:30 AM in a parking lot. That is a gun-free large campus and till they determine it was an attempt at a mass shooting and not some gang bangers, bad drug deal, drunks fighting after bars closed, i'll reserve judgment on it as a 'school shooting'. As already mentioned, this would be a non event, business as usual if it was in Chicago or Baltimore.

We do this a lot on DU (internet sleuthing of identities on breaking news events) and we often get it wrong.
