Ooo, boy, next Speaker of the House - I know, you will laugh as much as I did

My Representative (and I use that term loosely, because he represents nothing I believe in)sent me this stupid letter about the Next Speaker of the House. I give you this masterpiece of GOP idiocy:

I'll leave it to everyone else to form their own opinions, but this is what I sent him back:

Marsha Blackburn!? LOL!

Go for it. If you want the House to have even less credibility than it had under Boehner, pick her. She isn't as bad as McCarthy at speaking intelligently (or intelligibly, for that matter) but if you want a laughingstock, you are picking some real winners!

Maybe you guys should just nominate Ted Nugent, since the Speaker doesn't have to be a member of the House and he's the strongest on the lunatic scale that I can think of, currently.

I remember an interview where they asked her about something that had to do with finance reform, and she launched into this 5 minute diatribe without taking a breath about "Obamacare" and how the world was going to end if it was enacted.

The interviewer tried to get a word in edge-wise to get her back on the topic at hand, but every time he tried, she just spoke over him with bigger and scarier sounding words - I swear she brought up "lycanthropy" treatment instead of "Laparoscopy" treatment and how expensive it would become.

Well, yeah, I'm pretty sure it would be kind of expensive to treat becoming a werewolf, Marsha.

Also, she has less of a statistical chance of owning an RV sales lot than Gohmert does, but that's not important right now.

As I recall, Blackburn has a keen eye for Sharia Law slipping in unnoticed, she hates Latinos to the right degree, and I'm pretty sure she believes that even Saul Alinsky and Jeremiah Wright were born in Kenya. She hits all the high points, so other than being a woman, I don't see what's slowing her down. Of course, all bets are off if OG Gohmert himself steps in.

"smarter" better able to use multi-syllable words. Of course, none of them seem to mean what she thinks they mean.

Not to mention her astonishing ability to speak for 5 to 10 minutes over an interviewer about absolutely nothing to do with the question she is asked or the topic of discussion.

So yeah, more vicious, at least.

outlook from sane people. They think people who WORK for the government should despise it and do as little as possible while reaping the maximum benefits from said government at the expense of their constituents. I'd be puzzled, but it's the same thing that happens with these televangelists that can get people living in a cardboard box to send them everything they have.

with that syrupy snaky voice of hers...can't wait.

Why don't you want her? She's perfect for the job. Boehner made sense a lot of the time, so he had to go.

on art history and why you aren't as well-informed as she is on the subject, when you went to a conference on semi-conductor fabrication.

And she scolds you about how you are unable to focus on the fact that she is discussing art history, interrupts anyone questioning her, and then sails out the door content that she just delivered the greatest art history lecture to people there to talk about semi-conductor fabrication that has ever been delivered.

Every interview I've ever seen her in is like that. She picks the most off the wall, has nothing to do with what she is there to talk about topic, mangles the terminology but hits you with gale-force wind gas-bag speech that you just wonder what in the hell you were just witnessing.

He makes me snarl at the tv when they mention him on the news. What the hell do people see in him? Chalk another one up to the banality of evil. Come to think of it, he does have sort of a Reaganesque stench about him.

I swear he's one of those that if you try to get off of his email, it just means he sends you more email, not less, like the quantity of drivel will somehow endear him to you. . I can't stand him, and the sooner we vote him out of office, the better for everybody!

I long for the days of Gene Taylor who is really a Republican, but at least he's sane.
