Omaha woman ran over toddler's foot with lawnmower, police say

When we had the kids they were not allowed in the yard while I mowed. I stop when people use the sidewalk or the kids are out next door. Would somebody look up the regulations on a day care in Nebraska if insurance is required? I'm thinking of the medical-therapy bills.

OMAHA, Neb. —A woman is under arrest after a child in her care was taken to the hospital with extensive injuries to his foot.

Karla Drazic, 32, was arrested on a felony charge of child neglect, causing serious injuries.

According to the criminal complaint, the injury happened August 13 at Drazic’s in-home daycare near 171st and Sprague Streets.

In my opinion, about 31% of people should be allowed near powered equipment. AngryAmish Oct 2015 #1
Aw, poor thing. Unintentional, but very regrettable. closeupready Oct 2015 #2

Go to a lake and see folks hoon around on waverunners, utterly ignorant that they have no brakes.

Not sure what to think about the babysitter, if - as the parents concede - it wasn't a situation of abuse, but rather, thoughtlessness. Certainly, I wouldn't want to see her taking care of any other children.
