Hedge fund manager Bill Ackman has a bold prediction for the 2016 presidential race: Media billionaire Mike Bloomberg is going to run for president and win.
Ackman said Bloomberg would make a great candidate because, like Trump, he is a straight-talking successful businessman. And while Ackman said people shouldnt be voting based on billions, if they are, Bloomberg is the clear winner. Forbes estimates Bloombergs net worth at $38.8 billion, or nearly 4 times what Trump says hes worth, and nearly 10 times what Forbes says Trump is worth.
Whats more, unlike Trump, Bloomberg has actually held public office before, serving three terms as mayor of New York City

(18,402 posts)Two strikes against him to run on a Republican ticket. Ever. And he can't run as a Democrat. I don't like the idea of him running a third-party race, though.

(5,455 posts)so he would have to run as an independent and while he may have money to burn on an independent campaign, he also lacks the charisma to do well. He comes across as far too arrogant and condescending as well as far too authoritarian for most of the country to vote for him.
