Florida Senate votes to remove Confederate flag from seal

UPDATE: About 15 minutes after postponing a vote, the Florida Senate approved removing the Confederate flag from its seal on a simple voice vote. There was no discussion or objections.

Initially, when the matter was brought forward, Sen. Rob Bradley, R-Fleming Island, said he was surprised to see the issue on today's agenda and had questions about what the new seal would look like. Senate President Andy Gardiner, R-Orlando, agreed to temporarily postpone a vote to allow Bradley and others to get their questions answered privately ...

More than a few constituents will not be happy about it. But, at least we'll know more about the districts where we're likely to find racists.
