Billionaire Republican worried Donald Trump won't be accountable to billionaires

"SNIP..............

The millionaires and billionaires of the Koch brothers' donor network have spread more than $22 million across many of the Republican presidential candidates, but one notable name has been left out entirely: Donald Trump. And one of those donors, billionaire Stanley Hubbard, had a hysterical, horrifying reason for opposing Trump's candidacy:

“This idea of ‘I don’t need to have any funding, I’ll fund myself,’ that scares the hell out of me,” Hubbard said.

“That’s like a dictator. I think that any politician should have to answer to their constituents … I don’t think it’s healthy to have somebody who doesn’t answer to anybody.”

My god! If he's not answerable to billionaires, what is our democracy coming to? Seriously, one of the very people gathering together to try to ensure that this presidential race is bought by the top tenth of the top one percent is talking about how scary it would be to have politicians not answering to their constituents.

And I'd really like to watch a documentary about an alternative reality where he becomes President.

By moneyed bagmen: Hitler by many clients of the Dulles Brothers' law firm, Sullivan & Cromwell, not to mention Prescott Bush and his cronies and their German partners, the Shah by British Petroleum and the US government, the Somozas by United Fruit and the US government, Batista by the mob. And that's just off the top of my head.

They're shitting tacks because Trump doesn't need their money and couldn't give less of a shit about them.

None of this should be taken to imply that Trump is in any way sane enough to be POTUS.

But I guess since money buys votes, he is correct in a way.

You know I hope Trump manages to get the nomination before he implodes. Because he's going to implode one of these days, I'm sure of that. I'm just really enjoying watching Tea-partiers turn on Club for Growth for running ads against Trump and Freedumb Caucus members calling Paul Ryan a RINO. 2016 should be interesting.

I wouldn't feel like I was accountable to anyone else at all. After all, what's the point of being a billionaire?

On the other hand, if I had a billion dollars, I sure wouldn't be spending my time trying to be president, either.
