James Blake: I'm setting up a fund to benefit others who have experienced problems with police

I'm paraphrasing - didn't expect this so had to run to the computer.

As many of you know, he is a biracial retired tennis pro - was in the world's top ten at one time.

He was just on Tennis Channel and they asked him to describe progress since he was assaulted and the NYC mayor apologized. He is commentating on a European tournament this week and was interviewed for just a few minutes about his experience with police.

He said very few people get apologies and he is fortunate to have fame, etc., so he wants to use his resources to help raise more resources to address the problems and prevent them. He believes "95-99%" of police do a great job and he considers many heroes. But he wants to help prevent the situations like the one he experienced and not let the matter drop.

No details were provided on the fund yet.
