Does anyone even want to think about Donald Trump having to give a serious, dignified speech?

Like an Inaugural Address, or a speech in response to some national tragedy like a natural disaster or a mass shooting or the like?

I seriously don't think he's humanly capable of doing that.

President Donald Trump after Pearl Harbor:

"Today, December 7, 1941, a day that will live in infamy, we were attacked by those loser failure Japanese.

I mean, come on. They eat with little sticks. Who does that? I promise I would never eat with little sticks.

But here's what I'm going to do about it. I'm going to have a war. And it's not going to be any war. It's going to be the greatest, most incredible war you've ever seen. You're going to love it.

Napoleon, Alexander the Great, Attilla the Hun? Their wars will be nothing compared to the war I'm going to give you!"

He's standing on the stage, one hand raised, the other on the Bible. Justice Roberts is snickering. Suddenly, neon lights spelling "TRUMP" cover the entire front of the Capitol building. Trump, unfazed, turns to the crowd and proclaims, "This is YUUUUUUUGE."

bothers me a little more. As bad as W was, he did allow for some political censorship and advice. I think even he had enough self monitoring capacity to display some semblance of manners and social decency.
I doubt Trump would take advice on how to interact with ambassadors and foreign leaders. He would turn state dinners into racist roasts of other country's leaders.

It is difficult to imagine how much damage he could do and how we could recover from a Trump presidency.

Like the last few presidents, Trump will be allowed to make speeches (others write) settle disputes (that don't exist) and rattle sabers on command. Others make the decisions, drive the policy and hold the reins. Those folks aren't elected and we don't know their names.

Just watch the puppet and laugh citizens. As long as you don't start making demands, you'll be fine. And so will Trump.
