Hillary Clinton’s Mega-Donors Are Also Funding Jeb Bush

Still, in the event of another economic meltdown, there is at least some chance that Clinton will discover an inner FDR (Or better yet, Eleanor) than Bush or any Republican. Thankfully, Bush isn't doing well--a Clinton/Bush GE would really suppress voter turnout among young voters.

http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2015/08/04/hillary-clinton-s-mega-donors-are-also-funding-jeb-bush.html

More than 60 ultra-rich Americans have contributed to both Jeb Bush’s and Hillary Clinton’s federal campaigns, according to an analysis of Federal Election Commission data by Vocativ and The Daily Beast. Seventeen of those contributors have gone one step further and opened their wallets to fund both Bush’s and Clinton’s 2016 ambitions.

After all, why support just Hillary Clinton or just Jeb Bush when you can hedge your bets and donate to both? This seems to be the thinking of a group of powerful men and women—racetrack owners, bankers, media barons, chicken magnates, hedge funders (and their spouses). Some of them have net worths that can eclipse the GDPs of small countries.

Larry Noble, senior counsel for the Campaign Legal Center, told The Daily Beast that it’s a common practice among a small number of people.“Some of them will say they believe in the process, but the truth is you usually see them giving to people who will be most helpful to them if [the politician] gets into office,” he said. “They are not necessarily Republicans or Democrats, they are business people first.”

Some of them said personal connections are driving the double donations. Many work in industries that depend on the federal government for their continued operation. A few have had brushes with the law. One donor said he’s soured on Hillary, and is now on Team Jeb. Another claimed that he gave to Clinton by mistake.

John Tyson, chairman of Tyson Foods, is a long-time—and promiscuous—political player. This year alone, his company spent half a million dollars lobbying Congress on everything from immigration reform and fuel taxes to food safety regulations. He himself has given $25,000 each to the political action committees supporting Clinton’s and Bush’s 2016 candidacies, according to the data parsed by Vocativ.

2. What a surprise, since this isnt the first campaign an it isnt the first time donations has gone to

More than one candidate and to those who are in different parties, what a surprise. Wanna bet Sanders get funds from some of the same sources as Jeb, yes, it would make sense to try to stop Hillary from being elected. Trey Gowdy has Stop Hillary pushing the Benghazi hearings, dont think I would go in this direction.

3. Apparently you're unfamiliar with how donations work

"Wanna bet Sanders get funds from some of the same sources as Jeb"

The answer to that is "no", at least not in amounts that matter.

The limit that anyone can donate to Sanders' campaign is $2,700. That doesn't buy a whole lot of influence. Unlike Bush or Clinton, Sanders does not have a superpac that can accept much larger donations from special interests.

7. I know quiet well how donations work, it might surprise you to know all the candidates are limited

to $2700, the limit isn't only for Sanders. There are also super pacs for Sanders, like the ones he wrote a letter to denying the super pac, doesn't mean they stop. Special interest are giving to all candidates, don't kid yourself.

you give to both, does mean the winner only has to listen to half of what you say or ask for?

10. Haven't You Heard-Jeb And Hillary-Were The "Presumptive Nominee's" Long Before This All Started....

Long before the campaign season started we heard that Jeb and Hillary are the 'presumptive nominee's' of their respective parties. The 1%er's can tolerate either one of them being the next president - that way they don't lose.

Now you know why they called them the ''Presumptive Nominee's" and why they blacked out Bernie and why they are afraid of Bernie and why they are worried about Trump's success and the possibility of him becoming the Repug nominee.

They want a Clinton v Bush general election because they know they win either way.

Anybody else spells trouble for them because they don't control Bernie or The Donald. With Jeb or Hillary - they know what they got - cause they've been there before (the big money donors that is).

Goldman Sach's - Blankfein's and his comments should put us all on notice. He was recently quoted as saying "I would be fine with either a Bush or Clinton presidency." That really bothers me and it should bother you too.

The powers that be have spoken.

This is why we need a revolution lest we totally lose control our our country.

If i were a candidate I would accept money from both sides and do what I damn well wanted to do if I won.
