For the redistricting issue, for the anti-monopoly issue, against the pot monopoly.

I'm fine with legal pot, even for recreational use. I'm not fine with it being used simply to make a small number of rich people more rich at the expense of regular people.

2. I think if it fails it will not be tried again for a while. I would think better to vote yes.....

and fix it later. Ohio would be a huge win for the cause, a loss hurt everyone for legal pot.

From what I've heard they're confusingly presented.

But the legalization train is going to keep rolling regardless.

They will have a monopoly and no one else can do it. For that reason, I'm hearing that a lot of pro-pot voters are voting no.

11. I don't know all the details of the initiative, but I think it has real problems

some pro-legalization outfits have tried to argue that it's not as bad as some of the press it is getting, but it sure sounds like Ohio can do better.

One thing I can tell you is, a loss this year is not the end of the road. Oregon voted it down in 2010 and voted for a better initiative in 2014. I suspect after several failed tries, California will vote to legalize next year, too.

Personally, I think Oregon's law is an excellent model for states to use.

I'm not interested in giving police a reason to show up at my door and decide to shoot my beagles for being 'threatening' when they run forward barking a greeting. (Not to mention even if it's legal, as a nurse I wouldn't be using, even if I wanted to try growing it as a gardener.)

So screw that.
