(25,406 posts)but I think you may be off the mark on the other stuff. I think a post-presidency more in the mold of Jimmy Carter is more probable; working to fight racism would be one obvious possibility but of course there are many more.

Last week Obama re-launched his My Brother's Keeper initiative as a non-profit organization, with millions of dollars in commitments from private firms and a high-wattage roster of board members. He said the program's work on establishing mentorships and increasing access to good education for young minority men would remain his focus "for the rest of my life."

(21,148 posts)the RW has been at war with our president since day one. They placed their pettiness over the welfare and safety of this country. They have given comfort to the terrorists by undercutting President Obama at every turn. Standing together is a thing of the past with them. They have made this the new norm because no one is calling them on it - media gives them the platform.
