That's really why the repubs are praying so loudly--they don't want to act.

From being my favorite Representative in Congress in my lifetime to being currently one of CT's two exceptional Senators. (I'd say Chris is my favorite, but I like Dick Blumenthal just as much.)

some days I think "I love this guy." and some days he frustrates me to no end, just like our President. Great on social issues, frustrating on budget and spending priorities. I wish he'd spend money better...I find myself disagreeing with him a lot on spending priorities and what he cuts vs. funds.

As an old lady I assumed it was just ME being crotchety when I complain on hearing all this Tweet and Instagram and Facebook stuff.

I now know I am not alone.

Very funny !

"I will pray for you/them/whomever" translates as "I don't intend to do one thing to actually help you/them/whomever" and NOT ONE THING MORE.

Emptiest and most insulting phrase in the English language.

The "thoughts and prayers" schtick I see so many people display on social media or whatever is sickening and is about the most half-assed way of addressing a problem while attempting to focus at least some of the attention on them. One of these days someone's going to say it to me at the wrong time and they're going to get it thrown right back at them.

Look at me! I am a person of faith and put it out there for all of you to see! Gotta love me!

I seem to remember hearing scripture in church in which Jesus denounces people who openly put on a show on how religious they are without actually APPLYING his teachings to their daily lives.

More times than not, these people are judgmental, bigoted, materialistic and narcissistic. Hardly Christ-like characteristics.

Wonder if any of these Repubs actually think stuff like this through. Because you know, if they engage in some serious introspection they aren't going to like much of what they see.

These asshats are so messed up in the head that they just voted to allow terrorists to buy guns. There is no forgiveness for that, they did it on purpose and real people will die because of this and they don't give a fuck. The only thing they care about are getting campaign contributions from the NRA and making gun makers even more profits. They are sickening and so less than human.
