10 G.O.P. Debate Quotes, From Fear-Mongering to Simply Bizarre

10 G.O.P. Debate Quotes, From Fear-Mongering to Simply Bizarre
By HumanOfEarth

1)

Donald Trump

“Our country is out of control. People are pouring across the southern border.”

Illegal immigration from Mexico has “come to a standstill.”

2)

Chris Christie

"When I stand across from King Hussein of Jordan and I say to him, 'You have a friend again sir, who will stand with you to fight this fight,' he'll change his mind."

King Hussein of Jordan has been dead since 1999.

3)

Ted Cruz

“When you are letting people in, when the FBI can't vet them, it puts American citizens at risk.”

The FBI is more than capable of vetting refugees.

“The United States can vet the refugees through a process that involves the FBI as well as the State Department, the Department of Homeland Security, the Department of Defense and other agencies. The vetting process can take up to two years, in which refugees undergo several rounds of security clearance checks.”

4)

Marco Rubio

“...Around the world, America's influence has declined while this president has destroyed our military...”

Barack Obama has increased drone strikes in Pakistan, and expanded them to Somalia and Yemen.

The United States is building aircrafts, long-range bombers, additional aircraft carriers, nuclear submarines, and modernizing our nuclear weapons.

Obama has created a program to build the most expensive aircraft ever: the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter.

Our military is a far cry from “destroyed.”

5)

Donald Trump

“But I've been talking about oil for three years. I've been saying, ‘Take the oil, take the oil.’

I didn't say, ‘Just bomb it.’ I said, ‘Take it and use it’…

People, I've been saying this now for many years.

Now, all of a sudden everybody's saying, ‘take the oil.’ It wasn't so fashionable to take the oil six months ago. I've been saying it for years.”

Yes, Trump is actually proclaiming as a positive his long-term goal of ravaging foreign countries to rob them of their natural resources.

He is the only candidate on this stage who’s been calling for murder and thievery for years.

Vote Trump!

6)

Ben Carson

(Hugh Hewitt: “Could you order air strikes that would kill innocent children by not the scores, but the hundreds and the thousands?”)

“...You should see the eyes of some of those children when I say to them we're going to have to open your head up and take out this tumor...They don't like me very much at that point. But later on, they love me...

“...Later on… they really realize what's going on. And by the same token, you have to be able to look at the big picture and understand that it's actually merciful if you go ahead and finish the job, rather than death by 1,000 pricks.”

(“So you are OK with the deaths of thousands of innocent children and civilian?”)

“You got it. You got it.”

(“That is what war -- can you be as ruthless as Churchill was in prosecuting the war against the Nazis?”)

“Ruthless is not necessarily the word I would use, but tough, resolute, understanding what the problems are...”

“Ruthless” is not “the word [Carson] would use” to describe the murder of “thousands of innocent children and civilians.” Akin to kids being treated by a doctor, Carson thinks the people whose babies and family members he plans to execute in cold blood will actually “love” him once “they really realize what’s going on.”

The man is, in all seriousness, telling the American people that the massacre of innocent human life is the same thing as curing kids of tumors, and that human beings on this planet will be grateful to him, will think him “merciful,” for murdering their loved ones.

These insane delusions are insanely dangerous.

A presidential candidate of the United States, a prospective leader of this country, is genuinely proposing that we “go ahead and finish the job” to obliterate the Middle East—

civilians, children, cities, and all.

My heart is breaking.

My country is making the world bleed. My country is a murderer of babes and innocents.

We must stop this madness.

We must stop it now.

7)

Ted Cruz

“Well, you know, I'm reminded of what FDR's grandfather said.

He said, ‘All horse-thieves are Democrats, but not all Democrats are horse-thieves.’

In this instance, there are millions of peaceful Muslims across the world, in countries like India, where there is not the problems we are seeing in nations that are controlled.”

So… all terrorists are Muslims, but not all Muslims are terrorists?

What about the Colorado Planned Parenthood shooting committed by Robert Lewis Dear, a Christian fanatic who posted online, “Turn to Jesus or burn in hell…WAKE UP SINNERS U CAN’T SAVE YOURSELF U WILL DIE AN WORMS SHALL EAT YOUR FLESH”?

What about Timothy McVeigh, Paul Jennings Hill, or Justin Carl Moose, the self-professed "Christian counterpart to Osama bin Laden,” arrested for conspiring to bomb an abortion clinic?

What about Jim David Adkisson, the Christian Right sympathizer who was motivated by “a hatred of liberals, Democrats, and gays” to walk into a Tennessee church during a children’s play and begin shooting?

What about Eric Rudolph, James Charles Kopp, John C. Salvi, or Joseph Stack?

What of the Christian terrorists who are assaulting the people of this country?

I don’t ever hear you speak about them.

Ted Cruz, you are further dividing America, by both political party and religion.

You did not make a joke, but a string of prejudiced sentences.

8)

Donald Trump

“When you had the World Trade Center go, people were put into planes – that were friends, family, girlfriends – and they were sent back for the most part to Saudi Arabia. They knew what was going on. They went home and they wanted to watch their boyfriends on television.”

The first time Trump made this claim, he used “wives” instead of “girlfriends,” but, since the media has pointed out almost all of the 19 terrorists were unmarried, he has now adapted to “girlfriends.”

Either way he is wrong— the hijackers had largely cut off contact with their families, and none had “friends, family, girlfriends” in the United States who were “put into planes” back to “Saudi Arabia.”
Trump is selling fear, portraying all Muslims as gleeful about Western deaths (as if Muslims are not Westerners) so the American people will become afraid, and vote Donald Trump into office, the one and only person who can save us and make America great again (remind me when that “again” was?).

9)

Carly Fiorina

“And I will not speak to [Putin] personally until we've rebuilt the 6th Fleet a little bit right under his nose; rebuilt the missile defense program in Poland right under his nose; and conducted a few military exercises in the Baltic states.”

The 6th Fleet is already growing, the Obama administration is already in the process of placing 24 antic-ballistic missile interceptors in Poland, and the last military exercise in the Baltic Sea was a widely publicized event held in June, with 17 countries and 5,600 ground, naval, and air force personnel involved.

10)

Jeb Bush

“Because I — first of all, I know what I don't know. I know what I don't know. I would seek out, as I have, the best advice that exists.”

Tell me, Jeb, who exactly is going to be giving you this superb advice?

" target="_blank">Might it be the exact same people who worked in your father’s and brother’s administrations?

The very ones who pushed for the Iraq Warand helped pass the Bush tax cuts that the American people are still paying for today?

Might you be referring to Paul Wolfowitz and Stephen Hadley? To Meghan O’Sullivan and Tom Ridge?

Vote Jeb! Can Fix It Bush for President—He’s got no idea what the hell he’s talking about, but the people pulling his puppet strings sure do.

What the fuck did we spend hundreds of billions of dollars on recently?? We spend more on our military than the next several countries combined. We have alocated more money to military spending every year. Its the same old tired bullshit talking points. They have nothing else. I lost count of how many times they said PBO's name...you would have thought he was running again.

that republican candidates can just open their mouths and say whatever they want. They rarely get challenged. Meanwhile, their base just eats it up without questioning a word.

Just get up on a stage and tell a story, any story. The truth is for those politically correct liberals.

Obama has an Open Border Policy and wants to take your guns to make you helpless to stop the teaming up of BLM/New Black Panthers, the UN and ISIS who will arrive in Toyota pickup trucks from the deserts of Mexico to convert you to Liberal Muslimism and then rape your wife and turn your kids queer and eat your dog.

Or is it turn your dog queer and eat your kids?

Warren Delano, FDR's grandfather, said that jokingly, and then changed his mind and stopped saying it altogether.

"Mr. Roosevelt and Sallie’s father had known each other, serving on the same boards for many years…. Mr. Delano had always admired and liked him. In fact, after knowing Mr. Roosevelt, Sallie’s father had for the first time conceded that a Democrat might be a gentleman! Before that he had often said jestingly that while he would not go so far as to say that all Democrats were horse-thieves, he would say that all horse-thieves were Democrats!"

http://www.politifact.com/texas/article/2015/dec/16/ted-cruz-time-travels-fdrs-gramps-saying-all-horse/

Ted Cruz makes it sound like Delano said that seriously and would want it applied to international policy.
