Not sure why I haven't seen this on the news at all.
Cop shoots other cop and makes victim look like the assailant. All caught on tape. Warning: Video is of a murder by two cops. Extremely disturbing.
The incident took place more than a year ago with the Los Angeles Sheriffs Department initially telling the media that they shot and killed 23-year-old Noel Aguilar, a known gang member, after he pulled out a gun and shot a deputy.
But now a video shows the two deputies struggling to arrest Aguilar when one deputy pulls out his gun and shoots the second deputy before placing his gun back into its holster, then placing the blame on Aguilar.
Wheres the gun? Los Angeles sheriffs deputy Jose Ruiz asked Aguilar seconds after his partner announced he had been shot.
I dont have any, Aguilar said.
Ive been shot, yelled Albert Murade for the second time.
I didnt shoot nobody, responded Aguilar.
I got shot in the stomach, Murade continued.
I didnt shoot nobody, Aguilar insisted.
Ruiz then pulled his gun back out and pointed it at Aguilar in an obvious attempt to shut him up.
Cmon man, why you pulling a gun on me, Aguilar asked.
Ruiz shoots him in the stomach, prompting Murade, who is already angry at having been shot, to fire three bullets into Aguilars back.
That sparks angry shouts of protest from witnesses, in English and in Spanish, saying Aguilar did nothing illegal.
Ive been shot, Murade kept repeating now that the struggle was subsiding.
Im dying, Aguilar said, fading away.

Authoritarian personality
State
Authoritarian personality is a state of mind or attitude characterized by belief in absolute obedience or submission to one's own authority, as well as the administration of that belief through the oppression of one's subordinates. It usually applies to individuals who are known or viewed as having an authoritative, strict, or oppressive personality towards subordinates.

(7,723 posts)we need a major overhaul of our criminal justice system... but any crime is always completely demagogued by conservatives and blamed on liberal policies. If for instance Sanders comes in and tries to change anything, he will get blamed for any crime that follows.

(12,693 posts)Apparently it is a capital offense.
Seems like there is a constant stream of these kinds of incidents coming to light a year or more after they happen. Makes me wonder if there are way more incidents of police-on-citizen crime than we ever hear about.
Oh and fuck the police--especially the LAPD, biggest purveyors of gang violence this side of the Rockies.

(250 posts)...a cop pulling a gun in a grapple situation is an idiot and should be retrained.
Questions that need to be asked though. Was it confirmed the bullet that shot the cop from his partners gun. Did mr Aguilar have a gun on him. Why after he was shot and cuffed did the other office sit on his chest. Looks to me as if he was trying to suffocate him. Was medical treatment promptly administered. Doesn't look like it to me. They left him lay there after they were sure he was dead.
But of course all the appoligist a will say "oh but he shouldn't have struggled" BS. And cops have hard jobs or they just made a mistake it wasn't criminal.

(7,723 posts)incidents, there is no attempt to save the person after they were shot (or choked or beat). The cops just want the suspect dead.

(10,495 posts)The cops assassinated those bikers, then arrested everyone and put 1 million dollar bonds on them and a gag order that to this day prevents them from telling their stories.
Go Google "Don Carlos video Waco biker shoot out." Find the You Tube video that starts with a black haired, blue shirted guy watching (he is looking at Twin Peaks). Some postings don't start til he runs into the restaurant. Find one that shows things from before he runs. He stands and watches, then he will look right for 3-4 seconds, then left 3-4 seconds (they had 15 cops armed with AR-15's with silencers in their own personal vehicles surrounding Twin Peaks), the he looks straight at Twin Peaks and taps the right side of his head 3 times with his right hand. 1 second later all the shooting starts!
One biker called "Bear" was shot in the butt and thigh which clipped the femoral artery. His friends put a make-shift tournakit on it and begged cops to take him to the ambulance they could see parked a couple hundred yards away. After about 30 minutes they let the friends put him on a cops tailgate so he could drive him over to the ambulance. He drove a little ways and stopped to chat with another cop. They waited talking for another 15 minutes until Bear died, then drove him over to the ambulance. Check the autopsy reports online and you will find this guy as one of the 9 dead and 18 wounded.

(250 posts)'Gang injunction list' which is a major civil rights problem as it lets cops hassle anyone they want and how you get on or off the list is as obscure as the 'terrorist watch list' or 'no fly' list.

(13,452 posts)Sounds like it could be a cobbled list of suspects rather than an adjudicated list of known felons or persons on probation.

(65,290 posts)though he had committed a serious crime. Just as Sandra Bland died for not using a turn signal (while black), Eric Gardner died for selling loosies (while black), and Tamir Rice died while playing in the park with a toy gun (while black), this young man died for being a member of a marginaliized and oppressed minority group.
The cops used a minor infraction as an excuse to go after him in the most aggressive way, and because of his knowledge about cops (and probably past experience with them), he didn't feel safe with them so he ran. Just like most predators, cops kick into the high adrenaline-run down the prey mode when their victim runs.
