That's the most important thing for this militia fiasco. One government spokesman speaks every 24 hours-he says either "No Change" or "X number have surrendered today, I have no further information.". No outside communications for those who surrender-they are terrorists. No press within 10 miles. All communications at the scene jammed.

(86,061 posts)all communications can be shut off and since it's a kind of isolated place... the road access can be shut off, they will not be able to use computers at the facility and can be disabled remotely. I think that closing them off and maybe destroying their supply trailers... could get them to want to rethink their strategy after they have too many cold nights and run out of fuel etc. This wasn't a very brilliant move on their part.
If this isn't nipped in the bud, woe to everyone near any public lands. These assholes were scoping out Yellowstone this summer, it's too big so they had to go find something smaller. They have been scoping out a lot of the parks so beware if you go to one on vacation this year, the survivalists are getting restless and want a reason to use their gunz, they plan to "hide" in national parks and forests.
