So What Happens When Supply Is Cut Off From The Sanctuary Post?.

This occupation could become a very big deal over time. Obviously supplies at the sanctuary compound are limited and the militia will need supplies eventually. Supposedly they are already asking for some things on Facebook. At some point they may be asking for assistance from other militia of like mind.

So if the road is shut off and the area is quarantined from any supplies getting in, it could get interesting. We cannot count on other militias remaining neutral in this dispute. The Bundies and their allies have made it clear that they are ready to stay indefinitely or until BLM relented. You could take it to mean that interference with them means stopping resupply of necessary food, and fuel.

I am now wondering if this situation is much larger than we might realize. With Fox and conservatives throwing gasoline on the fire anything is now possible. Even now Fox is supporting their efforts which encourages more. And if you listen to the rhetoric this event is about ALL federal land and not just the sanctuary.

to utilities at some point their abiility to recharge their phones and access social media through electronic devices will cease.

It is hard to complain if you can't get the word out.

12. Ever hear of solar panels?

I have a 100 watt panel I take with me on portable radio ops. I can recharge my iPhone and iPad any time the sun is shining.

There are ways to jam the signals, however. But there are also ways around that. Serious militia groups already have an emergency comms plan.

asking people to send them warm winter clothes (amongst other supplies) I doubt that this group thought things out very well.

I feel pretty comfortable that, if the Feds decided to isolate this bunch of yahoos and cut off all utilities that they could probably do it successfully.

There are currently more reporters than terrorists on site.

10. they could simply force the media to evacuate.

Remember what they did in ferguson with the "media safe" zones. Of course, then it was to control the message and muffle the media. Here, a good case could be made that its for their own safety.

After the media is a safe distance away, they block all roads and surrender the compound. It would not take long for Bundy and his ilk to come out. Mightier cities have fallen to sieges over the history. Should not be hard to accomplish with a bunch of yehaw's.

I suggested on the thread I linked above that we send a condom to that address with a note reading "please don't reproduce."

I'd love to get that idea started in social media!! lol

dealt with swiftly, but I have no idea how that can be accomplished without bloodshed. And I don't recommend bloodshed. I view these fools and like kind as a revolution, an insurrection against the US government. It seems akin to sovereign citizens. It seems these fools despite what they say want a war. The Bundy Ranch event IMO emboldened them to go further. This is not going away easily. And exactly as you say,

I am now wondering if this situation is much larger than we might realize. With Fox and conservatives throwing gasoline on the fire anything is now possible. Even now Fox is supporting their efforts which encourages more. And if you listen to the rhetoric this event is about ALL federal land and not just the sanctuary.

In essence, they are trying to bring down the US government IMO.

Unfortunately I fear that they will be given a pass again and suffer no consequences or arrests. I am sick of it. In this country if you are a young black man with a broken tail light you get shot but if you are a white RW extremist armed to the teeth occupying a federal building you are fine.

is to ignore the occupiers completely. Go ahead and shut off their electricity, and just let them realize how useless their little excursion is, and go home.

I will say, I find it beyond hilarious that they first claimed they were ready to stay there indefinitely, and inside of 48 hours they're begging for supplies.

I think the right path is being taken, we don't need any dead bodies on the news. It is like dealing with children, they will come out when they get hungry, better to show their commitment isn't as solid as they would have people believe.

The militia wants to FORCE the federal government to act. They say they want a peaceful solution that cannot happen because they are saying right now they won't leave until they get their demands met. Between the lines this occupation is a LINE IN THE SAND over the disposition of federally owned land all over the country. They imply such in their rhetoric. This occupation is a symbol for a much larger agenda. I look at it like Fort Sumpter and what happened then.

What happens if other militias show up to support them and attempt to run off the authorities to keep the road open. The GOP wants conflict and I will bet they view this situation as a road to the White House.

Plus, when they run out of power, they'll have nowhere to poop. That'll make it really pleasant there. But I think this all ends in canabalism.

As they say, let them eat their own.

Myself, I am hoping that they get pecked to death by a million chickadees.

Fedex? UPS? Amazon Drones?

If deliveries are occurring, it's because law enforcement allows them.
