Wow!
Kentucky man is spending 60 days in jail after he used a racial epithet in front of a black judge on Monday.
In courtroom video obtained by WDRB, Jefferson Circuit Court Judge Olu Stevens is seen revoking Adam Satterlys bond on drug charges.
Punk ass n*gger! Satterly shouts as he turns to walk out of court.
Moments later, Stevens asks deputies to bring Satterly back into the courtroom.
Is there something that you wish to say to me? the judge asks.
Satterly argues that he had directed the slur at his brother, not the judge.
No, no, no, I didnt mean it like that, the defendant insists.
Oh, you didnt mean it like that? Stevens replies skeptically. You dont speak those words in here. And that word particularly, you dont use that word.
Im going to give you 60 days for having used that word. Im going to hold you in contempt right now for having done it in this courtroom. Its disrespectful; dont ever do it again.

(55,445 posts)Young black defense attorney was trying a case before an established old-school white judge and the attorney was having a tough time with arguments, pretrial motions or whatever, so when court adjourned the attorney was leaving through in the lobby and commiserating with a colleague, and said in passing that the judge was an "asshole son of a bitch" or something like that...(he didn't yell it out or anything, this was a normal conversation voice)...
For reasons only God knows, the bailiff happened to be passing by and overheard the comment, so he RAN BACK into the courtroom, told the judge what he overheard, judge told the bailiff to bring that attorney back into the courtroom, and gave him 30 days for contempt...

(1,142 posts)But I am a geek I actually liked the last SW installment, have been Media Liaison for Dragon Con and have met the creators of many of the heroes that are being pimped today. Got drunk with a few of them.
Compared to agent Carter, Daredevil or SHEILD Supergirl falls way short. if it weren't for Allie McBeal it would totally blow.

(1,142 posts)Otaku (おたく/オタク ?) is a Japanese term for people with obsessive interests, commonly the anime and manga fandom. Its contemporary usage originated with Akio Nakamori's 1983 essay in Manga Burikko.
I can live with that. Glad you got a chuckle. Never got into Manga or anime but it appears you must have.

(41,831 posts)I love All Asian culture...so yeah.. I have had my share of reading manga and Anime, but I never obsessed over it. Nor comic books or action figures. I love American comics too, and right now I enjoy watching Supergirl... I want to go back and catch up on The Flash, The Arrow and Gotham, when I have some spare time, which ...I don't have a lot of.

(18,470 posts)The Judge wiped out the sentence today;
On Monday, Stevens harshly rebuked Adam Satterly after he shouted out "Punk a-- nier" following a hearing in which his bond on drug charges was revoked.
On Tuesday, Stevens again had Satterly brought before him, this time with Thurman present. The judge lectured Satterly on proper court decorum and the inappropriateness of using racial epithets, according to several sources with knowledge of the hearing.
Satterly, who is white, apologized to the judge and maintained that while he shouldnt have used the slur, he was speaking to his brother, not Stevens. Satterly's brother was in the courtroom on Monday.

They're trying to F with him because of his dislike of him.
