I'm down to the kitten gifs. And the weather reports. Oh, and political cartoons. I like those.

(7,300 posts)I'm sick of the shootings and inaction but I think it's an important issue and needs to be in the news. As for the rest of your list, remove the word "bashing" and I want the news on these people as they are in positions of power and influence. The Oregon issue should have been ended already.

(34,845 posts)The endless, mindless bashing, I agree we have had more than enough of that.
Birds are territorial creatures.
The lyrics to the songbird's melodious trill go something like this:
"Stay out of my territory or I'll PECK YOUR GODDAMNED EYES OUT!"
(22,756 posts)the Democratic principles bashing... otherwise all of these things should be topics of serious discussion, education and possible solutions... bashing does NO one any good

(15,220 posts)Especially the candidate bashing. ANY candidate.
At this point, does anyone honestly think they're going to change someone's mind who has decided to vote for a particular candidate in the primary? It's senseless to argue and divide the party. We all simply need to go and vote for our candidate of choice in the primary, and see who the nominee is. Then we all need to come together behind that nominee. Anything less than coming together behind the ultimate nominee is simply going to hand the white house to the Republicans.

(466 posts)At this point I'm sick of everything. Endless talk. Trump, Oregon loons, Hilary, Bernie, blah, blah. It's like everyone in the world has lost their collective minds.

(18,868 posts)It's just people being horrible to each other. Calling each other names like "dipshit" and stupid and way worse. I don't like that in my daily life and I hate it here.
I hate that kind of thing. So much sarcasm and blood letting going on. And that is just within the party. You get outside the party and it gets a lot worse.

(2,450 posts)1. The guys in Oregon is a big deal. These people are rarely exposed in the daily coverage even though their dangerous ideology has been lurking for decades. As a person of color, I don't think this one is trivial or can be overdone.
2. Guns because... see number one.
The rest on your list though, I agree.

(12,194 posts)Amazingly, there are forums and groups set up to discuss at least some of those, specifically.
In fact, there are even rules and guidelines, as to what gets posted where, and why.
All you need, is posters willing to follow them.

(14,177 posts)specifically national polls. Polls for specific states and demographics are a lot more interesting/relevant. National polls tell us so very little about well anything other than a candidate has or doesn't have name recognition nationally.

(1,134 posts)When I say bashing, I don't mean criticisms about them, but the weird completely irrelevant and often times made up "drama".
I literally tapped out of the Hillary vs. Bernie thing several months ago.
I would find Trump amusing if it was just a TV show and not real life. :/
I don't mind the gun debates, because I think it's an issue that needs to be addressed. Although, it's mostly just people talking at each other instead of to each other.
I'd rather the Oregon guys be ignored. The sooner that happens the sooner they will pack up their toys and either go home, or face whatever legal consequences there are to be faced.

(53,410 posts)But I decided to do that specifically because it's the Presidential campaign season. Last time it was brutal and I knew I couldn't take any of that again. It's crazy how much figurative bloodshed there is during Presidential elections where Democrats are involved.
