John Kasich on Treatment of Muslim Woman at Trump Rally: ‘That is Not the Republican Party’

Bullshit. That episode is pure republican. The GOP is now running entirely on hate. Kasich won't get any primary votes for that statement.

There is the greed (business) wing that isn't openly racist or involved in the culture wars but only cares about themselves, and then there is the mainly poor white overly religious wing that is ignorant and racist, but not very greedy. The latter wing is openly hostile to minorities and often goes right along with anti-poor proposals despite them often being poor.

...which means there's no place for him in today's GOP. And that's genuinely a damned shame.

his policies and practices in congress and as governor in Ohio have hurt many people. He has an ability to smile in your face while he slides a political shiv in your ribs. He is dangerous.

about Kaisich because he initially impressed me as perhaps acceptable. (My memory for names is terrible.). What I learned was even more appalling than the few things that had made cable news. For just one thing, he's been heavily involved in ALEC with the Kochs since its inception, but there's much, much more. He's not only not the moderate he is styling himself as, he is a far smarter and more dangerous Scott Walker.

At a luncheon hosted at a posh Orange County golf club by a local political action committee, Kasich heap praise upon Latinos -- a crucial voting bloc, with 28 million expected to be eligible to vote in the 2016 election -- for family values and work ethic, but then appeared to indirectly conflate Latinos and service-industry workers.

"A lot of them do jobs that they're willing to do and, uh, that's why in the hotel you leave a little tip," said Kasich before a small group inside the Shady Canyon Golf Club, nestled in a gated Irvine neighborhood.

Kasich went on to tell a story about his stay at a hotel in Los Angeles in recent days.

"This lady wrote me in my hotel there in L.A. She wrote this note. It said, 'I really want you to know that I care about your stay.' Is that just the greatest thing?" he said. "So, you know, we can learn a lot and she's Hispanic, 'cause I didn't know it at the time, but I met her in the hallway -- asked her if I could get a little more soap,” said a chuckling Kasich.

So if this fascist-leaner likes Hispanics, if he were elected, which group would he target fr persecution to keep his supporters happy? If there are too many Hispanics to persecute safely anyway, as I suspect, surely there are too few Muslims?
