Militants Use Government Computers To Create Own Website

by John Sepulvado and Amanda Peacher OPB | Jan. 12, 2016 3:57 p.m. | Updated: Jan. 12, 2016 5:39 p.m.

Among the militant members who have accessed government computers at the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge, one is an Islamic State sympathizer and Adolph Hitler acolyte.

While militant leader Ammon Bundy has repeatedly denied government computers were being used by militants, OPB has again confirmed that Department of Interior computers at the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge are being accessed, and in this instance, being used to make a website for the occupation.

...

Occupier David Fry said he drove from Ohio – through a blinding winter storm – to help Bundy and his supporters.

The website he created contains video and audio of Fry at the refuge, as well as a “List of Serious Injustice” and a link to buy fellow militant LaVoy Finicum’s mystery novel.

...

Fry’s Google+ account shows the Ohio man regularly posts anti-Semitic, homophobic, and pro-Nazi propaganda on social media.

Fry also posts in support of ISIS.

They were verklempt over sailors and Iran last night - still verklempt this morning after the release - but they don't seem to care that a small army has taken over a government building and is holding it hostage, all the while nosing about the computers. Is this okay with them? Would Herr Trump like to see an encampment in Central Park? Hmmm . . . now that I think of it, where are the Democrats in all of this? It's pretty much crickets from all sides. What a bunch of lucky white guys.

Internet connections, electricity, water - all these things are paid for by taxes if it is on public land. It should all be cut immediately.

The US military, with exception of the Coast Guard are not allowed to operate against the US population in any policing action.

They ought to be putting down this insurrection now, but the question is, does the government secretly support those seditionist thugs?

They're using WordPress (which I often use and love) so, if not correctly protected, very easy to hack.

If nothing is done about this then I have to think it's being done with a "wink and nod" from authorities who are refusing to do the job they are sworn to do.

I really can't believe it's been allowed to go on so long without any apparent effort to even slow them down or make them in any way uncomfortable.

They also have gained employee information so they can terrorize those who work there.

21. A look at the source code shows an apparent start date of Oct. 2015 for this moronic web site

-- whose URL I won't post here but is easy enough to find. (At least that's the auto-date on the uploads directory.) I'm sure Anonymous or other white-hat hackers with WordPress knowledge can figure out how to have some fun at their expense.

According to a Whois lookup, the domain name was registered on Feb. 7, 2015 via register.com by one "Gabriel WorldOfTanks" at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. Cute.

The site does try to leave session cookies on your device, so if you visit there take precautions to clean cookies, and you probably want to use a VPN, Tor, or other cloaking method in case they have the technical savvy to trace you -- not likely, given the amateurish look of the pathetic site this goon has created, but it doesn't hurt to be on the safe side when dealing with unhinged dumbass zealots.

If I were a hacker (which I'm not), it would be hard to decide whether to deface the site with links to dildo vendors, gastric-distress-inducing Gummi bears, etc.; or to put in an auto-forward to the Southern Poverty Law Center site.
