Well, that is if republicans knew what being humble meant! Last night we saw what would happen if republicans were in power, total war over nothing. Last night 10 Sailors were held overnight because their boat broke down, had bad comms, and drifted into Iranian waters. The Iranians picked them up, held them and their boat until morning. They were released this morning, with all equipment.

I heard everything from launching tomahawks, to sending in SEAL teams to rescue the men and one woman who was "captured". The biggest thing was they were talking about this only happened because President Obama was weak. I am thankful that President Obama was sitting in the Oval Office last night and not any republican.

Instead, this episode, if anything, will only reinorce the narrative in the minds of the Republican base that this president is weak. They won't remember our sailors were promptly returned without threats and their eyes won't be opened to how they've been manipulated by deceitful politians who are reckless and dangerous.

and folks were screaming that we need to "project strength to the Iranians (and all other potential adversaries), to the American people, and to the families of the Sailors"!!!!!

Then, one of the panelist indicated that Kerry suggested that the Iranian Government didn't even know about the Sailors until he called ... and that "projection of strength" would have endangered the Sailors, as the faction that was holding the Sailors, actually welcomes a fight with the U.S.; whereas, the Iranian Government does not.

totally about declaring war on Iran "if those Navy personnel aren't delivered to the WH steps
within a few hours" or some such nonsense.

It was Rachael Maddow who thankfully shut the guy up with a strong dose of reason & common
sense; but yah, that was an interesting exchange. I was so glad Maddow was there, cuz those

20. Some "Ex-military" RW-er was on MSNBC, calling for O to DEMAND IMMEDIATE RELEASE

of the Navy personnel and make that his WHOLE fucking SOTU speech!! Thankfully Maddow was
there to shut this idiot up & down and sideways, mostly ... but he kept insisting it would be "irresponsible"
for Obama not to suddenly make this Iran incident the centerpiece of his SOTU.
