Trump Says 9/11 Represents 'New York values'

The feud between Donald Trump and Sen. Ted Cruz continues.

Donald Trump reacted to criticism from Republican presidential primary challenger Cruz Wednesday, saying that he equates "New York values" to "energy" that helped the city to persevere after the September 11th attacks.

"One thing it means is energy. You know, when the World Trade Center got hit, we rebuilt that World Trade Center and we got through and very few places in this world could have gotten through what we went through. I mean, I was so proud of New York, the World Trade Center, these two massive, 110 story buildings come down, thousands of people killed. I've never seen anything like it in my life. And immediately the rebuilding started," Trump told conservative Radio host Howie Carr.

Texas Sen. Ted Cruz had opened a new line of attack against Trump, saying that he represents "New York values." When asked to clarify by Fox News' Megyn Kelly Tuesday what he meant, Trump refused to specify, instead saying "the rest of the country knows exactly what New York values are."

How about, like, every city in Europe during WWII?
Or, all the cities in the middle east, bombed halfway to rubble?

It was terrible, but we lost two buildings. History is littered with cities razed to the ground, that were rebuilt.

However, newcyork came together in a positive way after 9/11 in the same way London did and many other cities did. Cruz bashing NYC in that context is not smart. Even middle America had NYC's back on 9/11.

Hate giving him credit on anything - especially when he's running for the nod of a party that has made bashing NY part of every campaign. He handled that beautifully.
