Re: Flint Michigan: Once again Obama and taxpayers have to step in

to fix a racist anti-democracy anti-American Big-GOP-Govt clusterfuck.

I sincerely hope that Obama makes a trip to Flint to call out Snyder and the GOP.

and hands them a bill to pay.

Yup

Michael Moore is in town, and he organized a big protest group in front of city hall, tonight. I definitely get the feeling that the anti-Snyder protests are going to be ramping up in size and fervor.

I don't think Snyder will be coming back up to Flint, any time soon. Heck, he had to sneak in, unannounced, the last time.

If President Obama does come to Flint, this town will erupt with gratitude.

New cars every year, great urban schools, great labor strength despite plenty of nasty confrontations, but not enough diversification to weather the auto meltdown along with suppliers such as Delco.

Left forever after high school and now weep and rage from afar.

My parents live in the area, my brother and lots of other family live in the city.

This is a cluster and it's going to cost billions to make right.

...just how quickly repub gov. Snyder ran to President Obama and all of us U.S.taxpayers for help, once the MSM actually really started hammering him for it. Almost like pulling a Brownback: rethug gov wants to cut costs to the bone (change Flint water supply from pulling out the Detroit water system to pulling from the Flint River, to save money), and then immediately cries home to momma (federal govt) when his idiotic idea is a total disaster. And the institutional racism and the lower income cityism is some of the worst I've read about, at least right recently, as well.

19 million is what they saved by using the flint river instead of staying on detroit water until their new plant is built.

this is what the GOP don't understand about cutting every corner and "living within your means". that might work to run your household, but you can't run a government that way.
