(36,063 posts)as it is being coastal, long lengths of non-urban coast disappear in that projection, while cities everywhere buldge.
No doubt a handful of factors are in play in land values.
Another thing to consider with this map is that money buys influence. It seems likely that this projection indicates where that power is situated.
