...sets my teeth on edge every time I hear it.

It bothers me that Admiral Joe Sestak, who ran unsuccessfully for congress (Pennsylvania, I think?) and whom I like, is guilty of this.

I think those who have the potential responsibility for authorizing the use of nuclear weapons should at least be able to pronounce the word properly.

I used this quote just a few hours ago in our discussion relating to censorship. And, then there was Karl saying "watch what you say".

I like Ellen entry up thread. That was a bald face lie.


Edit: the discussion mentioned above was with my son.

...translation: Democrats who don't support me (George W. Bush) are Terrorists. This "either/or" continued into the Obama years, and even pops up in the Hillary/Bernie divide. It's sickening, in my opinion.

Which Bush and Cheney could have mitigated with a proper, American response. Instead, we got incompetence, stalling and a blatant disregard of human suffering as a result of a natural disaster in our own country.

Shortly after 9/11 W. gave a speech where he said this word a number of times to describe the attackers. Morford's op-ed, "Evil Evildoers of Evil" soon followed.
