It's amazing how many people live day to day waiting with bated breath for the rapture. For them hearing an emergency broadcast test is like sniffing cocaine! They simply can't wait for all the death and destruction so they can meet their all loving God. Bundy is getting a lot of their hopes up!

(65,616 posts)They are silly and I will mock them, I can mock my own stupid idea of the universe so I assume a higher lifeform can too. I do like the use of the coat of capitalism as a way of giving Gawd into you soul. Don't make me show the one where they are dancing on the money!
It is priceless, I shall leave well enough alone.

What a charlatan. My first impulse was to use another noun, but for decorum's sake this evening, let's just stick with 'charlatan.'

(50,986 posts)because Jesus was disappointed with the lack of Christians.
Other reasons are given as well, but that one stood out for me. If he existed at all, would Jesus have even known what a "Christian" was?
Noticing also how the Rapture itself is an escape hatch from one's responsibilities to others. If you're ready to be Raptured, and you think the Rapture is relatively imminent, you might eschew Science, because whatever those liberal Scientists are up to won't mean a thing come the Rapture.
Public schools? Won't matter and therefore aren't worth investing time and energy in. Better to home-school kids so when the Rapture goes down, the family's all together.
Conservative Republicans speak in defiance of the Supreme Court, stating that it is God's law, and not the U.S. courts, that will govern. The Rapture is a must for these folks because otherwise they would have to completely re-examine their positions. On nearly everything.

Or... Maybe ruptured.
Hope you are well, my friend.

Obama is the Anti-Christ and the current Pope is the Beast. Martial law by August or so.
This seems to be a case where someone who has a reasonably effective delivery nevertheless is batshit crazy.

(28,927 posts)He could go another 65 years waiting for the rapture and continue to be let down each time he gets his hopes up. He may have some real difficulties in his life that he is trying to get away from. He had a few Freudian slips about those kinds of things.

(50,986 posts)second clip something about people who are waiting for the Rapture having nothing else to look forward to. That's a clumsy paraphrase, but the way he profiled that sort of personality was interesting.

(28,927 posts)and didn't realize it. That's what prayer is half the time. I think it gives people the feeling they are doing something and doing good which helps them feel a little better about themselves so even though prayers rarely come through the act helps them feel better.

(28,927 posts)to save the world. Think it was drugs floating around the air at a Tom Petty concert that brought it on. I literally was ready to quit my job and go find Gordon Lightfoot because I thought he was a messenger from God and was communicating to me through one of his songs. That night I didn't sleep I was so excited but perhaps the drugs were wearing off and some doubts were starting to kick in and I was feeling less bold by morning. I decided to call the Unity Church hotline to fill them in on all this amazing stuff that was about to go down rather than drive to Canada to find Mr. Lightfoot. Anyway, the guy on the line was clearly pissed off from my idiot rantings and slammed the phone down hanging up on me. At that instance I popped out of it and realized I had been fucking insane! I called my Mom and told her everything. She was so freaked out she was ready to drive down and make sure I was okay.
Anyway, I wonder if he went into something similar and just never came out of it? So I do have sympathy because he really has no control over what is going on. His ability to reason is 100% gone.

(7,675 posts)EAS emergency broadcast system since it's inception in 2011 and EAS just started testing the system in Sept 2015
The test revealed several problems regarding reception which is why they are testing it. It's a new system and there are no FEMA death camps or black helicopters involved
How people like this guy can leave there homes in the morning, without going barking at the moon nuts everytime they hear a siren, is beyond me

Too bad you can't comment on his videos. Normally I ask these loonies if they're so sure of the of the world, then they should have no problems transferring all their money and property to me.
So far, no takers. But I have... faith.
