The emergency manager model of governing is a preferred model of the GOP. Michigan is the poster state for a national model wherever the GOP controls the state legislatures. Remember the model was repealed by state initiative only to be over ridden by the GOPPER legislature that made any new initiative illegal.

So we have Flint, Michigan to look to to see how the GOP operates when they have full control of the process.

And there were several cities in Michigan where the city governments were replaced by the governor, it didn't go well in those either from what I recall... for anyone.
