OPB has confirmed that there are children staying at the occupied Malheur National Wildlife Refuge.

The two young girls now staying at the occupied refuge are sisters, ages 8 and 9.

1. Putting Children On The Compound A Game Changer.

The longer the standoff goes on the more entrenched the militia will probably become. And the sanctuary will end up being off limit to the locals and public. Now that there is almost no way to extricate them without a firefight which was probably the case all along it will really be difficult to act in any way.

The militia are making it almost impossible to take the sanctuary back without tremendous consequences. What ever they decide to do the GOP and RW hate machine will go ballistic on Obama. The situation makes it difficult to act if any other militia take control of a federal property. And this action could grow to a wider militia rebellion.

What will the federal government or local authorities do if these guys really get bold or shoot someone?.

You wonder where the hell we are heading in this country.

I'm beginning to think the incompetence of the officials overseeing this operation is almost as big of a problem as bundy himself. To me it is criminal to allow those children to be put in harms way.

9. The children have been there for some time now

I recall the first week it was mentioned that women and children were there, and someone who got into the complex said they were Bundy's kids. I think this has been one of the main reasons they have not tried to take them by force. Now I do agree with those who say the area should be shut down, nobody in, and nobody out, unless they want to send out the women and children, which of course they won't do. As long as there are children involved, the FBI won't try and take the place by force, and Bundy knows that.

Those who use women and children in their insane "take over the US" BS are not heroes, but simply are cowards who need to be put in jail for a long, long time.
