I know there are some for whom this snow event is not a pleasant experience and while many will enjoy this event, we should keep the homeless and those who can't heat their homes or get to medical care or are injured due to storm conditions in our hearts and minds.

1. Very cool to be there and yet be home and toasty warm.

Usually way too many people for me in Times Square, this looks better to me.

2. While I am working, I love having a streaming webcam up on an adjacent monitor. I can...

...visit interesting and exotic places. I can even chase the sunset!

Also, when I get sick of the TV, I switch it to the computer and put on a beach or animal cam somewhere and go about my business as it plays in the background. A little slice of life on Earth, as it were.

4. I used to do that with the hummingbird cam.

Phoebe Allen? I think. When the hummingbird flew back to the nest the sound of her wings always made me jump. And then I would get lost in watching until she flew away again.

5. I remember that because you'd go about your business and forget it's on and then...

...the hummingbird would come swooping in with that distinctive buzzing their very busy wings emit in flight!

That camera and sound system are pretty amazing.
