Toby Keith shit about kicking ass. Reba coming down on them I will never forget...the coward.

The time to stand up is when you think things are wrong, not when it's convenient to ones career.

The album they put out there post, is a favorite of mine. The songs are great.

no tears, no sympathy, it is their fate. These fascist monsters are on their own.

Reba is such a fraud. She told Chely Wright to keep her mouth shut about her sexuality, yet claims to be an advocate for gay rights.

"Just so you know, we're on the good side with y'all. We do not want this war, this violence and we're ashamed that the president of the United States is from Texas."

….he and Carl Rove wanted the RW to think he was. It was his packaging.

He lives there, paints there, Laura killed someone there, he made and lost and regained a fortune there. So let Texas have him.

I'm no expert, but the Dixie Chicks had this sweet harmonized subdued style. Those country music artists who backed war and Bush played glitzy electronic, special effect shows that were difficult to distinguish from the rock and roll bands of the 60's. Almost not country at all.

Whatever, happy to hear from Natalie on this. Both with Bernie and Natalie and Rosanne Barr, I have this nice sense these days that having lived long enough, you can judge people based on decades of experience, on their authenticity over a career, not just the last three minutes.

I would have never known how good they were if all that shit had not happened. There are so many songs there, but might I just say Lubbock or leave it might be one of the greatest rock and roll / country songs I've liked in my lifetime.

to the Dixie Chicks (or any other country artist for that matter) until Natalie dissed Bush and I found that I actually liked their music.

They may have lost some fans but they gained plenty others!
