What really grinds my gears about TRUMP

Today, Trump came to my hometown to hold a "rally". We let schools out early so that the campaign staff had ample time to prepare the high school gymnasium for his arrival, you know, he's a big deal. I didn't pay much attention to his visit, but my Dad decided he would take a stroll past the High School to see what was going on....

Our town, has thousands of Hispanic immigrants. Some legal, some not. We have a large pork plant in town that employs a lot of the younger hispanics. We're roughly 33% hispanic, the school my niece goes to, white is the minority. I've met thousands of hispanics, many live in my neighborhood. I cannot for the life of me, point at more than a small handful that I have met that are not here for a better life. They work VERY hard, save their money and live frugally. Christmas time, families go door to door handing out fresh tamales and milk. Need a helping hand? They are the FIRST to help. The young children are well behaved. So obviously immigration is a hot button issue.

Well, Trump decides to bring that windbag Sheriff Joe with him. What a slap in the face. My niece comes home from school (she's 9), and says "My hispanic friends say if Trump is President we won't see each other anymore, because he hates Mexicans and wants to deport our families".

Years ago, I remember INS doing raids at the pork plant. There was mass chaos. Families were ripped apart. Families that were contributing to society, not sucking the tit. Families who many were in the process of attaining Visas, etc. Children left without parents to care for them. It was a very sad deal. I don't condone breaking the law, but the families I know, aren't here to get handouts. They work hard for what they have, harder than I could ever imagine working.

So not only did Trump start a dumpster fire, he's fueling the fire. What a disgrace....

Paste it here in the body of your OP. Yes Trump is awful. I don't think he will be one quarter as evil as he claims he will be. He's just putting on a show. Appealing to all the racists who have been silenced over the last 50 years. The GOP has tended the garden of racism over that period. But the base and the politicians were not actually suposed to say the racism out loud. The base is free at last, free at last. Trump is an opportunist. He would have morphed himself into whatever form the base wanted. IMHO. Too bad it is so traumatizing for those people who he directs his attacks at. Bet we have to wait for the general election before some moderator asks him about that.

I was watching his little spat with the reporters. He got pissed at one and said "are you going to ask a question or put words in my mouth?" Said reporter replied "I just repeated what you said word for word" and Trump got all butt hurt.
