http://m.mysanantonio.com/news/local/politics/article/A-mysterious-dude-in-Iowa-keeps-accusing-Ted-Cruz-6785507.phpEspecially if that candidate is Ted Cruz.
A young male protester has continuously showed up to Cruz events during January in Iowa holding a sign declaring, "Ted Cruz Likes Nickelback."...
Tying Cruz to the Canadian band Nickelback whose members grew up in Alberta, the same Canadian province where the Texas senator was born has the double, but obscure, whammy of reminding primary voters of the questions raised by Trump while also implying that Cruz has terrible musical taste.

(6,785 posts)That's one of the reasons everyone hates Nickelback so much. They'd be another generic crappy bland radio rock band if they weren't played relentlessly and every single one of their songs didn't sound exactly the same.

Brother Buzz
(36,382 posts)He has Scheuermann's disease, a spinal disorder that left him with no flexibility in his thoracic spine.
And this also explains his totally unorthodox gangly alien/stork-like style of playing. By all measures, he shouldn't even be playing MLB, but he has the biggest heart in baseball, bar none, and worked hard to develop mechanics that work well for him despite being just plain ugly to watch.
Runs like a rotary phone thrown into a running clothes dryer. Throws like an effete Frenchman throwing a bookcase uphill. Swings a bat like his elbows are stapled to his knees and his underwear is pulled over his head. Stares at you while you arent looking.
KamaAina
(78,249 posts)I wonder if his totally unorthodox gangly alien/stork-like style of playing is why he's always getting injured.
Brother Buzz
(36,382 posts)Pence played in 383 consecutive games before the injury kept him out of the lineup. Prior to the end of that streak, Pence's consecutive games started streak came to an end on the second-to-last day of the 2014 season. He was given a day of rest in game 161 against the San Diego Padres but did appear as a pinch-hitter, keeping the games played streak alive. He missed, like, twelve innings of play his entire time with the Giants until he busted his arm.
2015 was an odd year (nudge, nudge, wink, wink), but I look forward to the 2016 season, and predict Hunter Pence will become the kale growers association spokesperson.

My son used to listen to Nickelback, but I couldn't name you a single song. At least ColdPlay had some good songs. Nickelback was just a waste of bandwidth, IMHO.

(55 posts)If Ted Cruz cannot legally run for president, since he was never naturalized as a citizen, he's not even eligible to be a US Senator, or practice law. He has committed several felonies, and every court decision he litigated can be rendered null and void. Just because he rnounced his Canadian citizen doesn't mean that he's an American citizen.
If someone would get the attention of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, make it clear that it is against Canadian law for any citizen to renounce their own citizenship without being a citizen of another country. Since Ted Cruz was never formally a US Citizen, he should be 100% Canadian citizen, and subject so many felonies in the US his farts wouldn't make a sound by the time he got out of serving his sentence in prison.
