An Arizona civil-rights group is going through internal turmoil after its president came under fire over his comments about a female TV reporter at a community meeting Wednesday.
The firestorm broke after Don Harris, 77, the head of the Maricopa County branch of the NAACP, commented on the reporter's anatomy after a meeting at the Tempe Union High School District office. There, a larger group of community leaders were discussing ways to resolve the flap over an offensive Desert Vista High School photo in which several students had spelled out the N-word.
After speaking with the reporter, Harris walked away and said, "Nice tits!"
The Phoenix New Times' Ray Stern first reported the incident and included an audio recording of Harris in his story.
After the story broke, Harris said he emailed executive board members of the Maricopa County NAACP to clear the air and offer his resignation -- if they wanted it.

Par for the course though, as we love to ruin people over a few words. At least some people do.

Must be difficult to have such an undisciplined mind that you're forced to say things in a public forum you don't want to...
