Can someone explain to me what matters?

This discussion thread was locked as off-topic by GP6971 (a host of the General Discussion forum).

I've had my faith in a lot shaken tonight. A lot. Hell, it's safe to say I'm not even thinking clearly right now, but... What do you do when one candidate supports... Say 90% of what you believe in, and while the other one supports maybe 20 or 30; or at least says they support 20 or 30% of what you believe, they also have made decisions reprehensible enough that you can't trust them whatsoever? When it's literally become a matter of conscience to oppose them?

My faith in a lot has been shaken tonight, and I don't know what to do from here. To be honest, I'd love to parley with a Clinton supporter who isn't full of snark; which is probably really out there of someone like me to ask, but... How the hell do you do it? In all sincerity, how does one reconcile that kind of internal schism?

3. Provided health insurance for 380,000
4. Reduced infant mortality to an all time low.
5. Provided meals to thousands of hungry children and moved toward a goal for eradicating childhood hunger.
6. Enacted a $10.10 living wage and a $11. minimum wage for State workers.
7. Supporter the Dream Act
8. Cut income taxes for 86% of Marylanders (raised taxes on the rich).

How about you look on the Clinton board and pick a poster or two whose posts you like and send them a personal message? Try to have a private chat with them.

Look at the candidates and decide which is the best and vote. There will be another election for Congress ins 2 years and for the White House in Four. If your candidate doesn't meet with your expectations, vote for someone else next time.

the differences are night day. In the general, if the wrong candidate wins the primary, it is a "lesser or two evils" problems not a "which is best". The problem between the lesser of two evils means you are still picking evil, and that has a moral consequence that too many here dismiss as inconsequential.

but am sticking to my convictions, which simply enrages some people.

I have had a conversation with a number of other Dems who cannot understand my refusal to be "pragmatic", but there are just some VERY bright lines you do not cross.
