They marched to the polls for George W Bush and other so-called conservatives in 2000 and they got exactly what they asked for. They got their taxcuts. They got their wars. They got their deregulation.

They also got their huge deficits. They got incompetence in foreign policy. They got banks and Wall Street crashing right beside them.

In other words, they got burned. And they burned the rest of us also.

Now they are ready to put their greedy little paws back on the hot stove again. They did not learn the lesson. If they do the same job they did before, and they promise that they will, then their next chapter will be even more painful. We will all suffer.

But, not to worry, they will bear no burden and they will pay no political price. They will blame it all on Barack Obama and the Democrats. We are all about to get burned.
