AP is reporting that Radio Ranter Neil Boortz is retiring, and that Herman Cain will be the one to fill his rather stinky shoes.

ATLANTA (AP) — Conservative talk radio host Neal Boortz announced his retirement Monday after four decades at the microphone, saying he will be replaced by former GOP presidential hopeful Herman Cain.

Boortz said during his morning talk show that his last day will be Jan. 21, 2013, the day of the presidential inauguration. The 67-year-old Boortz said he is in good health and plans to enjoy retirement by traveling with his wife.

"This has been a stress-free job for me. It's just been a total and absolutely joy," he said. "I'm going to miss everything associated with doing a talk radio show."

Boortz's show is syndicated across the country through Atlanta's WSB radio, drawing about 6 million listeners on 230 radio stations.

Boortz and his "flat tax/I love the wealthy/fuck the poor" message is proof positive of that.

What America has on the radio in 2012 is the modern version of the Snake Oil salesman.

The only thing worse than hearing Boortz's voice is hearing Herman Cain's. Since there is NO progressive radio here in Atlanta any more, I even tune in to rush lamebaugh to drive my 2 1/2 miles home, rather than listen to Boortz.

We had a couple of shots at progressive radio but they "failed." I'll always believe Boortz and the powers that be saw to the failure. I hate these people.

This is either:

A) The fix is in, and you won't need me under President Romney. And, I'll make more money on the lecture circuit.

or

B) I'm telling my listeners that if Obama wins, I'm going to play the martyr, and pack up my ball and go home. Only, I really won't. and they're not even going to remember that I said this. I'm just ginning up some bullshit for the gullible dupes that listen to me.
