A crowd of protesters has gathered outside the Governor Hotel in downtown Portland, where Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney is holding a fund-raising lunch.
Among them was a group from Oregon Planned Parenthood, clad in pink, who said they are worried about Romney's threats to get rid of federal funding for the organization and Title 10 health care services.
"We're here to send a clear message to Mitt Romney that women are watching," said Laura Terrill Patten, of Oregon Planned Parenthood.
Inside, Romney was to be introduced at the event by U.S. Rep. Greg Walden, Oregon's only Republican member of Congress. Diners paid between $2,500 and $50,000 to attend, depending on the level of access to the candidate.
