Who are the liars that Melissa Harris-Perry was referring to?

MHP reportedly wrote this in her email to staff:

I have stayed in the same hotels where MSNBC has been broadcasting in Iowa, in New Hampshire, and in South Carolina, yet I have been shut out from coverage. I have a PhD in political science and have taught American voting and elections at some of the nationís top universities for nearly two decades, yet I have been deemed less worthy to weigh in than relative novices and certified liars. I have hosted a weekly program on this network for four years and contributed to election coverage on this network for nearly eight years, but no one on the third floor has even returned an email, called me, or initiated or responded to any communication of any kind from me for nearly a month. It is profoundly hurtful....
(emphasis added)

I finally stopped watching MSNBC for good a few weeks ago.
But before that, I did watch a few bits of MSNBC's analysis of debates and primary elections, and I wondered why they didn't have MHP as one of their featured analysts. I just assumed that it was because of some conflicts with her teaching schedule at Wake-Forest.

Now, I'm not so sure.

But I'd love to hear who it is that she feels are the "certified liars" that MSNBC has instead chosen to provide a platform for.

7. Yes, this is what it is all about

She is pissed and rightly so because she is getting preempted by Brian Williams plus the young air head women reporters. Melissa is a heavy weight political analyst and she should be insulted when MSNBC chooses to bring on a pompous ass like Williams instead of letting her report.

13. Dem in Texas is correct. Brian Williams hosted her show the second week she was frozen out. Joy

Reid hosted it the first week. Apparently the new news head, Andrew Lack, is bringing Brian Williams back.

entirely fabricated story, it's gossip and innuendo with occasional references to Tip O'Neil.

But, as I think you were asking, I too am curious as to what some examples of the alleged lying are.

16. She is talking about Luke Russert and Brian Williams.

Luke Russert is the novice.
Brian Williams is the liar.

She is contrasting them with the fact that she holds a PhD in political science, is hold up in the same hotels as them, and yet is not called out to speak or give opinion.

I honestly think she echoes a lot of feelings from within NBC and MSNBC regarding both of them. I know there is a lot of antagonism against Luke, as a lot of people think he got his job only because of his father. (He did.) I am sure she is speaking for a lot of people by indirectly naming them.

18. All the Republican pundit windsocks

MSNBC has been paying Republican hacks to lie every morning, afternoon, and night since the network was founded. They pay these people to lie.
