because this is America and it is what we stand for that counts. But, I don't understand why they are drawn to this fool? Is there that much hate that people want him to lead our country?

The explanations I have seen have been as nonsensical as anything Drumpf says. I think it's more emotional than rational.

There is great fear of the future, that increasingly looks like a minority white future. Hatred is a compensatory feeling to alleviate the fear. Generally, when you find a leader who can misdirect the fear, you have a political movement based on racism, discrimination and other forms of hatred.

True Christian values would lead people to seek out the love, but historically, many Christian leaders have not been shy to use the fear their flocks feel to feed their thirst for power.
