A terror attack has gone unnoticed in the eyes of the media last week after three Ku Klux Klan members assaulted Hispanic men and women in a Los Angeles public park.

According to The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, the men were yelling racial slurs and “heil Hitler” while flying a Confederate flag in Stephen Sorensen Park. The men then attacked three Hispanic teens, prompting the family of one of the teens to intervene in the fight. The white supremacists produced knives in response and started to threaten the family members....

“The only time the word terrorism or terrorist is used is when the perpetrator happens to be an Arab or a Muslim,” said Abed Ayoud, legal and policy director for Washington DC-based think tank American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee.

“When the perpetrator happens to be a white American then the terminology is changed. So if it’s a white person then often we will hear that they have mental issues, they are troubled, different descriptions for their mental state.”

1. That's terrible. Those White Supremacists are terrorists and they are anti-American.

They don't believe in our government or that they should honor its institutions or obey its laws. Any other group would be considered subversives. Back in the day, they used to confine themselves to their compounds and shoot each other. Now they are coming out an attacking innocent civilians. They are no different than the IRA in the UK back in the days of The Troubles, although the IRA actually had a legitimate gripe against the UK. Those Aryan Brotherhood and KKK have none.

8. The self defense claim is bullshit.

I've been reading a lot about this since that happened so close to home. What it sounds like to me - and don't quote me on this - was that the KKK provoked the counter protestors which started the whole brew ha ha. If they're claiming self defense they really don't have anyone to blame but themselves.

When I was forced to work side by side with family members of those swastika heads, I often suggested that they should go join the Marines or Army. LAGUNA NIGUEL (CBSLA.com) — A motorist possibly disgruntled with the government struck a man outside a federal building in Laguna Niguel Thursday, raising security concerns.

About 4:30 p.m., a police cruiser was chasing a car toward the Chet Holfield Federal Building at 24000 Avila Road, according to witnesses.

The vehicle made it through the concrete barriers and hit a federal employee, possibly a security guard, in the back of the federal building. Paramedics rushed him to a hospital with unknown injuries.

The suspect was arrested. Witnesses said they saw him scoping out the parking lot earlier in the day and was asked to leave.

LAGUNA NIGUEL, California -- A driver with an alleged grudge against the government struck and injured a federal investigator Thursday before slamming into the exterior of a federal building in Orange County, authorities said.

About 4:30 p.m., the driver struck the investigator outside the Chet Holifield Federal Building in Laguna Niguel and crashed into a maintenance garage near the side of the facility, according to a law enforcement source who spoke on the condition of anonymity.

The driver, identified as Geoffrey Rickner, 45, of Laguna Niguel, was allegedly motivated by antipathy for the federal government, according to the source, who was not authorized to speak on the record about the incident.

The driver was taken into custody at the scene, FBI spokeswoman Laura Eimiller said. Both the driver and the injured federal employee were taken to a hospital in unknown condition.

The Orange County Sheriff's Department also responded to the scene and deployed its bomb squad to survey for explosives, sheriff's Lt. Mark Stichter said.
