3. Fair assessment.

If Hillary takes it, we won't get a liberal in the White House this cycle. Time to transition away and push hard for liberals running for down races and state races.

good attitude and I like it. I can't push for her in the GE but I won't trash her either. Would rather spend my time trying to get the R's up for re-election kicked out.

8. Can't abide is far too strong.

I'll vote for her in GE without having to take a barf bag to the booth. But in my mind she's a Conservative Democrat and I lean far more liberal. I know with Hillary it's usually love/hate but not so with me.

But you are right about "working the frak out of the downballot". Love how you put that.....

16. Exactly. Discussion will become a LOT more interesting.

"on March 15 this site officially transitions to General Election footing. That means, we will focus our attention not just on Donald Trump or his rivals, but also on the Senate, the House, and state-level races."

19. Presidents appoint Party Chairs.

And, if you don't think there would be a huge difference between the Party Chairs that would be appointed by our two candidates, then I don't know what else to say.

Party Chairs make a lot of very important decisions about the future direction of our Party.

Ask Al From and Bill Clinton how that worked out for them.

9. I don't think there should be any

Hillary BS hate or any Bernie BS hate, nor should there ever have been. A vigorous discussion of issues (including the candidates histories and previous positions), absolutely, but hate, No.

That said, the author is entitled to his opinion and his viewpoint on this issue, however I do not believe that he is the one who decides just when the primary season starts, ends or shifts into something beyond what it is.

As for dailykos, well it's not a site that I personally care about in the least.

22. Totally agree.

Discussion of the issues is great.

But constant repetition of GOP TPs and memes, posting discredited and debunked stories, and name-calling is what passes for "discussion" here instead.

Snarks can be tolerated although there comes a point when the Chinese water torture of constant little snarks and snide comments takes a real toll.

DUers so eager to control the sound machine! I too will speak my mind until the convention. I feel like people project the hate on Bernie supporters and then dance around unable to wait until the hate stops. They can stop it any time! The prospect of Clinton as President scares the hell out of me! How could the Hillary folks ever understand that. Gotta go...sniper fire!

14. The groups pushing Mrs. Clinton

are desperate to stop the process now -- sort of like the way the GOP wanted to stop the vote count in Florida in 2000. They know that Mrs. Clinton has no long game. She starts strong -- just like she did in 2007-2008, but can't keep it up. She's just picked all the low-hanging fruit, and her backers want to end it now.

Sorry, but this is a marathon, not a sprint. You have to run the whole 26 miles. She's already out of breath, and they know she'll stumble and fall pretty soon. The more people see and hear her, the less they like her.

12. It should be when one of the two candidates reaches 2,383

pledged delegates. That is the official point of no return, when one candidate becomes the presumptive nominee. That is expected to come sometime in May, I believe. So whether or not both candidates go on until the last primary or caucus before the convention, there should be no hating on the presumptive nominee (or his or her opponent). And that includes so-called "facts" that berate the candidates.

Here's a clue: I hate for profit healthcare, for profit prisons, war and its beneficiaries, torture, capital punishment, wall street criminals, tax cheats, and for profit education. It is unlikely that I'll warm up to a presidential candidate who supports such things

23. strange decision before more results are known

i think HRC is the odds on favorite, but it would be nice to wait for a defacto winner JUST as happened in every other year. In 2004, Kerry was far more dominant and the big states were earlier, but even on the eve of the election day where he became the de facto nominee by mathematically getting 50%, Daily Kos was still pushing John Edwards ... and even a month later, Carville was dreaming of a brokered convention on his and Begala's show with HRC saving the day.

In 2008, the race was closer, but neither DU or Daily Kos went to General election footing until a month after the last primary.

Why is this year different than all other years? Why did a huge percent of the superdelegates declare their support of HRC? Why are most of the charts including superdelegates - even as some HRC supporters - like Senator Leahy - saying they will not vote against the winner of the pledged delegates? Seriously, the party and the media are treating HRC almost as an incumbent President -- with an annoying, irrelevant intra party challenge.

39. As you can tell...

... Hillary hatred has a life of its own, and will remain long after the primaries whether she wins or not. For many, keeping a Republican out of the White House is no longer high priority on their list. If Bernie Sanders becomes the nominee it will return to its prior status of high priority, which will result in demands of loyalty to him, and to the Democratic Party, completely ignoring the fact that the vast majority of Hillary supporters have already pledged to get behind the Democratic nominee. Those Bernie and Hillary supporters who do not can follow my simple suggestion. When we have our nominee written in stone, get the f*** out, go wallow in your misery somewhere else, and spread your b******* hatred on someone else's sandwich. The result? Everybody's happy doing what they like to do best.

42. OK, there's nothing in KOS's headline, or the article, about "Hillary bullshit hate," so cut it out.

I lean Hillary, but I've loved Bernie for years. I've donated and supported both of 'em. But most of the people criticizing this KOS article have not read it. It's even and reasoned.

Read it, and take these quotes with you: "As of today, Hillary Clinton has 596 delegates to Bernie Sandersí 407 (not including Super Delegates, because fuck them they donít count). That is a 59.4 to 40.5 percent split. Over the next two weeks, By March 15, nearly half the delegates will have been awarded. By all indications, Clinton will expand that delegate lead.

If she doesnít, and Bernie Sanders overperforms expectations and the polls, then congrats to him, this primary continues!"

"Again, if itís not over on March 15 because Sanders has narrowed his delegate deficit, then this doesnít apply."

KOS makes every provision to continue the process and support whoever the nominee is.
