(10,110 posts)they take away delegates Trump wins in primary elections.
He's probably going to have more than 2/3rds of the delegates he needs before the end of March and should handily pick up the remaining 1/3 in the balance of the contests (ie New Jersey, 7th of June, 51 delegates in winner-take-all and he's 18 pts ahead, Florida on Mar 15th, 99 delegates in winner-take-all, 18 pts ahead). A bunch of them are Winner-Take-All and he's way ahead.
Heavy odds are: There will be no brokered convention. Trump is the GOP nominee.
If the GOP are having second thoughts, they're too late. Most of the ballot deadlines for the primary have passed.
About all they can do now is convince America he's a big dick with a small dick.

(1,039 posts)Even if he came in second to Trump, they would never give it to him in a brokered convention. His own party loathes him. A brokered convention would probably go to whoever won a plurality of the delegates. If it didn't it would almost certainly go to someone like Rubio, Kasich, or someone behind door number 3. Cruz hardly seems like a likely fallback option.
