And Bush Pere and Barbara Bush speak glowingly of our current president.

I wonder how high a governmental official attends the funeral? Biden?

I came in here in trepidation expecting full grave-dancing mode.

I hope we can avoid that this time.

I remember when Gerald Ford died and this poster made several anti-Ford posts until Skinner had to intervene. He basically said there were a lot worse Republicans than him.

And Nancy actually did a lot for Alzheimers causes.

She survived breast cancer. She was a tough old broad ( I say that as a woman lol).

Apparently, POLITICO is saying that the entire thing is fake. Who knows? I think I saw it on Twitter!

http://www.politico.com/blogs/media/2015/04/bloomberg-falls-for-fake-nancy-reagan-report-205356

Bloomberg Politics published a report about Nancy Reagan based off of fake news site NationalReport.net
The piece, headlined "Nancy Reagan gives her endorsement to... Hillary Clinton," quoted a supposed "Drudge Report" saying that the former first lady told the History Channel series "First Ladies In Their Own Words" that it's time for a female president.
"For the GOP, this is slightly awkward. Since Ronald Reagan's presidency, and especially since his death, the Gipper's legacy has been worshipfully celebrated, often claimed, by Republican candidates," the article stated.
The problem is: Reagan never said such a thing and the series was actually on C-SPAN, not The History Channel. The report seems to have come from NationalReport.net, a spoof news site that has tricked many a politician and news organization in the past. The piece was then posted to a website called DrudgeReport.com.co, which doesn't seem to be connected to the actual Drudge Report.

Poor Nancy, she was a devoted spouse, a pain in the ass, but she did one good thing--she had that Ron Reagan, who is, quite often, the smartest guy in the room.

Her son will be able to tell us how she felt, once he gets over his grief.

He was quite fiercely protective of her, and loved her dearly, even though they had some differences. He was a devoted son, and I'm guessing he's probably quite sad today, even as he knows that she was fading and likely was ready to go.

I don't defend her views or husband's horrible polices.... but she did respect Pres. Ôbama which is a damn sight more than their elected leadership ever did. I don't need every one to agree with me, but it's nice to see a conservative put country first for once
