Love her or hate her, Mika just totally shut down Rick Scott

He refused to say he disagreed with Drumpf re: Muslims hate America. Scott kept repeating that Florida is a melting pot. She said over him "no, no...will you just answer the question or do we end this now?" He tried the melting pot thing again and she said "Okay, thank you, good bye." And the cut it. Excellent.

Btw, not a transcript, just paraphrased from memory.

I'm babysitting the grandkids, and it's a buffer zone before I get the intelligent stuff -- like Paw Patrol and Bubble Guppies.

Seriously, it's fascinating watching attempt an about-face, distancing themselves from Drumpf while praising the depth and substance of the Dem debates.

surprise him? OF COURSE, the Democratic debate was far superior in discussing real issues!

Really, Joe. What do you expect?

Scott : Non-answer shuffle and hide.
Mika: You didn;t answer. Are you going to answer, or are we done here?
Scott: Non-answer shuffle and hide.
Mika: OK, we're done.

He's literally fighting the federal government concerning having Syrian refugees in Florida.

It is a hodge podge of zoned residential areas where you are inclined to find blue areas in the city and red in the burbs.

That doesn't make us purple in a melting pot sort of way.

I'm from Cocoa Beach, almost entirely white. I'm saddened by how it's changed since the heyday of the space age, when science ruled and new people welcomed. Now, I've had friends say they want to put $20 toll booths on the bridges to the island in order to keep "those people" out. Whomever those people are. Most people there seem to be Drumpf supporters. They've turned into a just another bastion of the Deep South, with a beach.

Actually, it's more progressed because it has never been challenged. We have entitled families coming in and working the backwater system around here to take over. They work together with like-minded people to take over Association common grounds and creep into the golf course property, while I can't even maintain my property within my deeded boundaries without having one of them poking around to see what I'm doing.

Discrimination in these red counties is an every day event. No, we are not a melting pot.

I guess he figured that by then everyone had forgotten the actual question and that wouldn't have sounded like as big a dodge as anything Scott did say at the time. So Joe managed to straddle the issue, sharing Mika's frustration while greatly diminishing the offense.
