From those who disagree with far more of the grass-roots activist derived party platform than those whom they wish to evict from the party.

Especially people who just happen to have their own opinions on issues, which is all of us. The Democratic Party has members from across the ideologic spectrum, including a lot who are conservative and large numbers from groups with special interests, and to belong or not to belong is each member's choice. Purging is something extremists on both sides and just plain mean mainstream conservatives would do.

I'm completely with you on kicking the shit out of all Republicans who would vote for any one of the candidates on their ballots right now. Door also open for any of those who need a better choice this time around, however.

Has been used since right after Obama became president. I have seen it for years now right here on DU. One of the most vocal shit stirrers, Manny, who is now banned, used it all the time to rally his troops. As far as I am concerned those those who started it, are not "REAL" Democrats, but republican trolls who have been trying to divide the Democratic party because they knew their party was on the skids.
