Ben Carson running in Florida against Alan Grayson?

The rumors continue that the Republican establishment proposed a deal that once sleepwalking Ben Carson would drop out of the presidential race, they would then run him against yours truly for Senate in Florida. And now he is out of the presidential race.

By the way, Carson claims that he telepathically communicated with a bear on a camping trip. The bear will neither confirm nor deny this.

But apparently, Ben Carson is seriously considering packing up his hammer, his saw – the tools of the brain surgery trade -- and joining us in the Great State of the Florida, to run against little old me. I’m just hoping that he hires the same political consultants who turned his presidential campaign into a giant ponzi scheme, with them at the top. I would hate to see the consultant class in the GOP starve to death.

Look, we still don’t know if this will happen — but I know that Ben Carson raised $72 million for his Presidential campaign. (That is not a misprint.) I don’t know whether that was despite his being crazy, looney, nuts, and downright frightening, or because of it. This is a guy who thinks being gay is a lifestyle choice -- because of prison rape. (Which makes prison a lifestyle choice to him, I guess.) He thinks that Obamacare is worse than slavery. He thinks that the Big Bang is a fairy tale the liberal elite cooked up. And that Planned Parenthood is targeting black fetuses.

Even my third-party libertarian opponent — who once drank goat's blood and believes himself to be a Sun God (true story) — must find that Ben Carson is a few crayons short of a full box.

So if you have any interest in taking back the Senate for the Democratic Party, or if you know how much I could get done if I were a Senator, or if you’re just allergic to stupid (Ben, I’m looking at you), then join our campaign today -- make sure we are ready to take down Ben Carson and every other Republican (like Patrick Murphy or David Jolly) that they throw at us. Let’s send a progressive, not a regressive, to the U.S. Senate.

I get hilarious emails from him every week or 2. Always great commentary. But this sounds like more than a rumor. Carson is thinking of moving to Florida for retirement anyway soo....
