Obama To Republicans: I Didn't Create Drumpf, Your Bigotry Towards Me Did

http://occupydemocrats.com/home/post/2016/03/10/obama-to-republicans-i-didnt-create-trump-your-bigotry-towards-me-did

In this clip, President Obama destroys the absurd narrative that somehow he's to blame for the rise of Donald Trump and the implosion of the Republican Party. Our noble president has been blamed by Republicans for pretty much everything that's gone wrong over the past eight years, while all of his accomplishments are tarnished and discounted - but even this is a stretch.

“I have been blamed by Republicans for a lot of things, but being blamed for their primaries and who they’re selecting for their party is novel” said the President at a press conference today, undoubtly holding back a roll of his eyes. I don’t think that I was the one to prompt questions about my birth certificate… I don’t remember saying, ‘Hey, why don’t you ask me about that? Why don’t you, you know, question whether I’m American or whether I’m loyal or whether I have America’s best interests at heart. Those aren’t things that were prompted by any actions of mine. And so what you’re seeing within the Republican party is to some degree all those efforts over a course of time, creating an environment where somebody like a Donald Trump can thrive.”

It really is astonishing how the Republican Party operates in its own reality, where facts don't matter and the truth is whatever they say it is. Eight years of barely disguised racism and partisan obstructionism justified by vague appeals to whatever "real conservatism" might be has left the Republican voter base furious at an establishment that is flagrantly disregarding the demands of their constitutents and failing to fulfill their constitutional obligations. The Republican Party has made their own bed in the muck of ignorance and discrimination, and now they must watch as Donald Trump gleefully frolics in it.

Let those fuckin' GOP crybabies change their own diapers and beds; they shit on them, now let them clean themselves up.

And don't have another meaningful dialogue with them until AFTER they clean themselves up.

past 7 years.

Everything that has gone well, he gets no credit for.

In reality it is his existence (not anything he has ever said or done) that has created all of the opposition on the right including Trump's supporters.

He doesnt have to do anything to cause it, he just has to exist and be president.

No, I do not believe every Republican in Congress is closet member of the KKK, but almost every one of them has actively played that card or remained while members of the GOP leadership did. Yes, Senator McConnell, I'm talking about you. And Senator Grassley.. And Mr. Issa. And Mr. Gohmert. And Mrs. Bachmann. They're all guilty of pandering to racism.

Of course the Republicans would have opposed President Obama, but it would not have been this vicious or nihilistic had the president been an Anglo-Saxon male. I wouldn't be so angry with the Reprobate Party if they had a coherent alternative to present, but they did not. Not once. In all the countless attempts to repeal the ACA, not once was there any hint anything better they had to replace it. All they were doing was playing the racists in their base, the white, beer-bellied rednecks you'd never want you daughter to be seen with.

While it is true that President Obama Has gotten criticism from the left, that has been fair criticism based on facts and issues, not personality and certainly not the color of his skin. I've given my share of that criticism and I won't apologize for any of it. I oppose NSA spying, the three "free" trade deals he's negotiated and the kid glove treatment Obama's justice department gave to crooked Wall Street bankers like Legs Dimon and Pretty Boy Lloyd, both of whom should have been given membership in Club Fed. I thought the ACA could have been stronger, but it's still better than allowing the kind of racketeering health insurance companies in collecting train loads of money from consumers and then withholding benefits because that's their business plan. It's better, but still not good enough. I also supported much of his foreign policy, especially the Iran nuclear deal.

to view his presidency as you please and some of your criticism is valid, in your book. My point is that when obvious racial animus or veiled racism was directed toward this POTUS, NO ONE in OUR PARTY leadership spoke up with courage to put racist RW legislators BACK IN THEIR PLACE. NO ONE WHITE.

The contrast between these chowderheads and Obama is so ridiculous, it's hard to imagine they're even part of the same government. It's as if they are all spoiled, petulant children playing a game and he's somehow managed to keep doing his job in the face of their frantic collective tantrum.

His persistence, consistency, and graceful strength throughhout this long, slow explosion of the Republican id has been truly remarkable.

And, of course he is right. The right is reaping what it has sown. But it will take some time for some of them to realize this because their heads are pretty far up their asses.

I just remember watching a documentary on the kkk and it stayed that they have members in key positions of our government. The way the GOP responds to racial issues is a testament to their racist ideology. Some of them know they are racist. Others, are in denial or have apathetically looked the other way. Again, Reap. Sow....
