Trump Brings Racism/Bigotry Into The Mainstream. It's OK.

The one thing that the Trump candidacy does is bring racism and bigotry to the mainstream and it is ok to be open about it.
It is ironic that the other racist and bigoted candidates on the GOP side are calling him on it. They are just the same.

The "Make America Great Again" is a subtly racist call to advance social, cultural and economic apartheid in this country. The Trump meme is about making "the other" the cause of all our problems. His clarion call brings in many poor whites who are really considered no better than minorities. In actuality Trump or GOP policies effect these white as much as "the other". These voters are part of the "the other" but they do not have the sense to understand that they are targets as well.

Utterly beaten, sidelined and marginalized. A wholesale rejection of his bullshit.

He is essentially yelling "fire" in a crowded theater right now - but instead of inciting panic he is inciting hatred. Making the people supporting him feel justified in their own feelings of racial hatred and xenophobia.

18 months of his "bringing racism/bigotry into the mainstream" will, I'm afraid, cause lasting damage.

1) He is on every news show every day and yet when he says "again", I have never even heard him asked exactly what point in time he is referring to.
2) He is a salesman above all, and when he gets to the general election, he will completely change his rhetoric without a second thought and say anything he thinks will get him votes. Plain and simple marketing with absolutely no regard for the truth.

This one is going to be up to the voters and their collective intelligence.
We're in trouble, America!

Voter decisions since 1980 have led us to this point. The politics of racial resentment and personal destruction has by and large workers. And I can recount so many ways the voters have essentially screwed themselves starting with Reagan. And I can count so many way voters have allowed themselves to be manipulated to literally "fuck" themselves. Sorry to put it that way but a lot of voters have voted in ways that are just completely suicidal.

And what I have just said is why I am so concerned about Trump or actually any other GOP presidential candidate who are really very much the same as Trump. Any one of them will be a complete disaster.

And I can also point out in many ways how the Democrats have helped the GOP.
